In 2026, Mexico City is one of the host cities of the Football World Cup. In the context of this event, and recognizing that it represents an opportunity to strengthen the guarantee and defense of the human rights of those who live in and visit the country’s capital, the Mexico City Human Rights Commission (CDHCM, by its Spanish acronym) launched the campaign CDHCM: Your Field of Rights. As part of this campaign, this brochure provides information on the human rights that must be protected during the World Cup; the duties of authorities in this context; the promotion, prevention, protection, and defense actions that the Commission will carry out, as well as available support channels; and recommendations for residents and visitors to enjoy the World Cup safely and respectfully, along with a directory of authorities that can provide assistance in Mexico City.
